CrossFit Blade Coach
I was a 3 sport athlete until I graduated high school but continuing to stay active and fit is always a goal of mine. I’ve ran track and field, played basketball, ran open 5k’s, ran multiple Ragnar races with teams. No matter what the sport is I enjoy the mental and physical challenges that come from it and I’m always striving to become a stronger and better athlete.
I did my first Crossfit workout in November of 2013 and it was what I thought just a simple Amrap of box jumps, push ups and sit ups. However by the end I learned that a box jump is a little more than just “simple”. Shortly after that I committed to the sport and have become a stronger and more fitter athlete than I have ever been. I’ve witnessed and experienced so many changes because of Crossfit I can never see myself turning away from it.
What’s your favorite thing about CrossFit?
My favorite thing about Crossfit is the moment you’ve accomplished what you never was thought possible. For me it was handstand walk; for months I practiced and for months I kept crashing to the floor. Then one day it all “clicked” and I found myself making it all the way across the gym! Now it’s rare that I’m not on my hands at least once when I’m the the gym.
Favorite WOD: Any partner Wod, pushing it to the limit with a friend makes any Wod fun!
