Tell us about your company…How long have you been in business? What is your specialty?
M1 Movement was established in 2015. We help active adults and athletes return to the workouts and sports they love without medications, injections, or multiple trips to the doctors office. We guide people from fearful and rigid to empowered and resilient.
Our practice has expanded to offer physical therapy, chiropractic care, and athletic training.
How did you get your start in this business?
I have a small business background from my undergrad degree and working a short time before switching careers into physical therapy/healthcare. I’ve dreamed of owning my own business to provide a great environment for people to come feel safe and strong as they go along their journey towards better health. I’ve had great support from friends and family to pursue this dream of helping others.
Give us a brief overview of the state of your market?
To keep it short, healthcare has gotten very noisy and it can be hard to understand all the different things being said. We do things a bit different than a lot of people are used to with their traditional services.
At M1 Movement we try to help clarify the noise a bit, get your questions and fears answered and addressed, and you on your way towards recovery and/or improved performance.
Now for the fun stuff… How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I’ve been doing CrossFit for over 5 years and coaching for over 4 years!
What drew you to CrossFit Blade?
I loved that I didn’t have to think of anything but the workout at hand when I first joined. I didn’t have to write up my own plan, the coach told me what and how to do it. Everyone here was so friendly and welcoming. I’ve made some of my best friends now through this gym 🙂
Tell us about your family….
My wife of just over 3 years, Madison, and I are expecting our first baby, a boy, in the beginning of February. We are beyond excited for the next chapter in our lives.
What do you like to do when you have spare time?
I love spending time with my wife, friends, and family whenever I get the chance. Put me with the people I love and the activity doesn’t matter. I do love me some Purdue and Chicago sports as well 😀
If someone thinks they or someone they know may need your services, what is the first step in the process?
