Where did you grow up?
I’m a native to this beautiful state of Arizona!

What are your hobbies (besides CrossFit)?
I’m a retired softball player but my love for watching sports is still strong. I enjoy applying my fitness to activities like hiking and mountain biking, or whatever else I might be invited to try. I also like to express myself creatively through art. I doodle, paint, paper mache, and get fancy with ceramics. At home I like chilling out with my cat, Oliver.

What is your occupation?
I’m starting my journey to become an Occupational Therapist in July!

How were you first introduced to CrossFit?
After a rough year of neglecting my health, my teammate from college told me about CrossFit and invited me to try it out. My life changed for the better when I stepped foot in a tiny garage of a couple of middle school teachers in the middle of the summer, and I never looked back. I’ve grown a lot since then but I’m thankful to my roots. Thank you, McHale’s!

What is your favorite WOD/movement?
Snatches!! I love the complexity and how good it feels when it all comes together. It feels like art.

What is your least favorite WOD/movement?
If I never had to deadlift again I’d be the happiest CrossFitter ever.

What CrossFit accomplishment are you most proud of?
Learning that nutrition is truly the base for it all. In no way am I perfect, I have a mean sweet tooth and can devour a pint of Ben and Jerry’s in a heartbeat. But changing my relationship with food has helped me discover another form of self care and self love I didn’t realize I was missing. Special thanks to my nutrition coach, Claire!

What is your favorite song to WOD to?
I don’t listen to rap on the regular, but a pissed off Slim Shady will amp me up. And I love lifting to some Beastie Boys!

What would you like to accomplish next through CrossFit?
Continuing to learn, continuing to grow physically and mentally, and continuing to love on others and myself along the way.

Fill in the blank: I love…. I eat…. I will… I am..
I love… naps.
I eat… barbells for breakfast.
I will… steal your cookies if you’re not watching.
I am… grateful for my experiences as an athlete and family member of Blade.
